The Cove – Space Guidelines The Cove is a shared space designed for community, creativity, and connection. To keep it working beautifully for everyone, we ask that all users follow the guidelines below.

Payment & Cancellation

Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Your space is not reserved until payment has been received.

You can cancel your booking up to 7 days before your session for a full refund. Refunds will take place within 5-7 working days, or can be used for an alternative booking

Cancellations made within 7 days of your booking will be refunded within 5–7 working days, minus a 2% admin fee.

Your Booking Time Your booking time includes both set-up and pack-down. Please only enter at your booked start time and ensure you have fully vacated by the end of your session.

We do not allow buffer time between bookings, so sessions may begin immediately after yours. Access to the space is only available during your booked time. If your booking runs over, additional time may be charged.

Leaving the Space‍ ‍

Please leave The Cove exactly as you found it clean, tidy, and ready for the next person. It should only take a few minutes to reset. Cleaning products are available in the space if needed. Please take all rubbish with you at the end of your session. Please return furniture to its original layout unless agreed otherwise. The Cove does not offer storage, so please take all belongings with you when you leave.

Refreshments

Tea, coffee, and water are available for you to use, along with the fridge. Please leave all areas clean and tidy after use. Wash and put away any mugs or utensils, wipe surfaces if needed, and remove any food you have brought with you.

Looking After the Space‍ ‍

If anything is damaged or broken during your booking, please let us know as soon as possible. Any charges for repairs, replacements, or additional cleaning are at our discretion.

Shared Space, Shared Respect‍ ‍

The Cove is used by lots of different people, often back-to-back. Please be mindful of noise levels and respectful of neighbours and the surrounding area. If a session causes disruption, we reserve the right to end the booking early.

Candles & Alcohol Candles are welcome, please use them safely, on stable, heat-safe surfaces, and never leave them unattended. You are welcome to bring alcohol, as long as everything is cleared away afterwards and no nuisance or disturbance is caused.

Children in the Space‍ ‍

Children are very welcome at The Cove but must be supervised at all times.

Parking

Please avoid parking directly outside the space unless you are briefly unloading. There are nearby car parks available, and using these helps keep things smooth for everyone on the street.

Closing Up‍ ‍

At the end of your session, please:

• Turn off lights

• Turn off the air conditioning

• Lock the doors

• Return the key to the lockbox

Responsibility‍ ‍

The person booking the space is responsible for everyone attending their session. All activities must be run safely and with appropriate care. If you are hosting a class or event, you are responsible for your attendees and how your session is delivered.

A Few Non-Negotiables‍ ‍

To protect the space and the community, the following are not permitted: • Smoking inside • Illegal activity • Anything that could damage the space or put others at risk

Timing Matters‍ ‍

As there is no buffer between bookings, it is important that sessions finish on time.

If Something Goes Wrong‍ ‍

If you notice an issue or something isn’t working as it should, please let us know as soon as possible during your booking. You can message us on Instagram.

Complaints

At The Cove, we’re committed to creating a space that works beautifully for everyone.
If something hasn’t met your expectations, we want to hear about it so we can put it right.

In accordance with Portuguese law, a complaints book (Livro de Reclamações) is available at the space upon request.

All complaints will be handled in line with legal requirements.
